Hi folks! Thanks to all who keep stopping by and even subscribing—all remains free here. So…
Okay, this music Friday is a weird one—I did something sacrilegious and profane: I took one of Robert Frost’s most iconic poems (one of America’s for that matter) and I, well, ADDED WORDS TO IT! I will now disappear into the poetry protection program. Don’t tell anyone.
For a little background, I’ve always thought this poem was a little ominous and creepy. I had also just watched Jordan Peele’s film Get Out and I thought to myself, “If I was by those woods, I would definitely get the hell out!” So, this is essentially a Robert Frost/Jordan Peele mashup. It also takes on a “deep house” feel once things get going.
Have a great Friday!
Love it! Much more interesting than reading it in class and studying how it illustrates enjumbment! (god I hate that word. Don't you think the person who invented that concept could think of a better word for it?)
