Okay, time for the return of Music Friday! And we are going to go big this time—Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken,” which I would argue is the most read AND misread poem in the American canon. This misreading, in my mind, adds to the poem’s stature and mystique—Frost was a tricky poet who liked to pull the rug out from under his readers at times.
I also threw in a sample from one of my favorite songs—which I will keep secret for now—whose lyrics happen to fit nicely with this particular work. You know, just to get all postmodern and stuff.
