We continue with Music Friday, a quirky project where I set canonical poetry to music in GarageBand, most often using AI voices from murph.ai.
If there is a poem that needs to make a serious comeback, it is William Wordsworth’s “The World is Too Much With Us.” When I read it, I hear his voice calling loudly from the past, rattling our bones in order to wake us up to the urgent crisis that is climate change. When I put this short piece together, I did so while thinking of it as a climate anthem of sorts. We are simply out of tune with the world and what it needs.
